TCS CodeVita Season 14: Registration Open, 2027-2030 Batches

CodeVita is TCS's global coding contest, launched in 2012. The portal says Guinness World Records has twice listed it as the world's largest programming competition, most recently in 2026 with 146,922 participants, and that Season 13 drew more than 669,000 contestants from 109 countries. Season 14 Status: What Is Confirmed

Two changes matter most if you competed before. First, the eligible years moved forward by one: the earlier portal frame was 2026 to 2029, and a 2026 pass-out who planned to use CodeVita this season is no longer eligible. Second, the language list shrank to four, so if your contest language is anything else, switch now, not in the week of Round 1.

What Is TCS CodeVita?

TCS CodeVita is a timed, online competitive programming contest run by TCS once a season, open to students worldwide. Unlike the TCS NQT, which is a proctored hiring assessment with aptitude and coding sections, CodeVita is problem-solving: story-style algorithmic problems judged automatically on public and private test cases. There is no fee reported for participation in past seasons, and the portal states no percentage or CGPA cut-off, which makes it one of the most accessible signals a coder can build for TCS.

Rules From the Official FAQ That Cost People Marks

• The clock runs per question. You can attempt questions in any order, but if you move to question 2 without submitting question 1, question 1's timer keeps running.
• Closing the browser loses your work, so keep a local copy of every file. The session also expires after 15 minutes of inactivity, and a session left logged in blocks a fresh login for those 15 minutes.
• Borrowed code must be declared. You may use outside material, but you must give the precise URL through the attribution option before submitting, or the code may be treated as plagiarised.
• Public and private test cases are reported separately. Passing the examples in the statement is not the same as passing the private cases.
• Do not delete your authenticator entry during the season. If you do, the login page has a "Deleted OTP Account?" route that emails reconfiguration steps.

How to Prepare Now That Registration Is Open

CodeVita problem style is stable across seasons: long statements, exact output formats, and one hidden detail that decides the private test cases. • Pick your language from the four today. C++ is the safe choice for 1-second limits on large inputs; Python is allowed and fine for most problems, but test it against the largest input the constraints allow.

Season 14 opened later than that pattern suggested, so do not plan around last season's dates; use the dates TCS shows on the portal and in your registered email.
