The three routes, in plain words
Think of Zoho as a building with three doors. Most people only know the first, and the other two are easy to miss.
| Route | Who it is for (per Zoho) | How you get in |
|---|---|---|
| Candidate Portal and job openings | Anyone applying to a listed role | Register on the portal, apply to a posting |
| Zoho Schools | Ages 17-20, no completed degree | Examless Evaluation, Zestober, or an entrance test plus interview |
| Zoho School for Graduate Studies (ZSGS) | Graduates of any stream, aged 20-24 | Zoho's standard recruitment process first, then the boot camp |
The first line of Zoho's careers page sets the tone: "At Zoho, we think beyond the system of credentialism and hire people for whom our existence truly makes a difference." It is a statement of attitude, not an eligibility rule, so do not read it as "no academic criteria apply to any role."
Route 1: the Candidate Portal
Zoho's careers page tells visitors to "Register on our Candidate Portal and get notified when new roles that match your skills open up." That link goes to careers.zohocorp.com, where openings are listed and where you register. The openings listed there change often, so check the live list rather than relying on any blog, including this one.
Here is the honest gap. On the pages I could read on 31 October 2026, Zoho does not publish the rounds, the test pattern, a cutoff or a typical timeline for direct graduate hiring. What circulates about aptitude rounds followed by programming rounds comes from candidates. PapersAdda keeps that detail on its own pages, and you should treat it as candidate-reported: Zoho online assessment, Zoho interview questions and Zoho placement papers. Those pages state eligibility figures and round counts that Zoho's own pages do not confirm. Your invite email is the only binding version.
One useful official signal comes from the boot camp page, which says all applicants "must go through Zoho Corporation's standard recruitment process." So even the graduate programme starts at the same front door as a normal application.
Route 2: Zoho Schools
This is the route Zoho documents best. Zoho's FAQ says "High School / Diploma students whose age is within 17-20 can apply for Zoho Schools," and that the candidate "must NOT have completed any degree program." Zoho Schools describes itself as an alternative to a conventional college. Zoho's own company timeline says Zoho University expanded to become Zoho Schools of Learning.
How candidates are admitted
Zoho lists several doors, and the entrance test is the last of them. Its FAQ says the entrance test happens "based on seat availability after the Examless, Zestober, and Rural Outreach admissions are completed."
- Zestober: daily challenges through October in coding, designing, writing and problem-solving. Skilled aspirants who keep proving themselves can win a seat.
- Examless Evaluation: you submit projects or creations instead of sitting an exam. Zoho says it accepts these every October.
- Entrance test and interview: held at Zoho's campuses. Zoho says "After the written test(s), we have a round of interview(s)."
What each stage checks
| Stage | What happens | What to prepare |
|---|---|---|
| Written test (Technology) | Zoho says it covers "Word problems featuring algebra and equation-solving, puzzles, visual challenges, and basic number sense," and that programming knowledge is not necessary | Class X-level maths, puzzles, reading word problems carefully |
| Interview | Zoho says it "focuses on assessing your communication skills" and may revisit your written answers | Explaining your reasoning aloud in clear sentences |
| Offer | Zoho says the day ends with admission letters for selected candidates | Keep your ID and mark-sheets ready |
| Training | Full-time on campus, then an internship | Plan to relocate to one of the campuses |
Zoho's FAQ also says it does not ask for certificates or weigh academic or extracurricular achievements in the interview, and that it does not consider school marks. It adds that every question paper differs, so there is no single cutoff, and marks are not disclosed.
Documents, language and the test day
For verification Zoho says "You can bring any government-issued documents/mark-sheets." For the entrance test it asks for a mobile phone with a network connection and "a valid document confirming your name and date of birth." The Technology paper is bilingual in English and Tamil. Zoho describes the test day as starting with registration around 9:30 am and ending with admission letters around 5 pm.
Timeline from selection to employee
Zoho's FAQ gives the shape of the programme. Classes usually begin in April. By the following February, students are placed as interns in teams across the company. Zoho describes the programme as "1 year of classroom training followed by 1 year internship in Zoho Corp," after which students are confirmed as employees. The same FAQ says pay is about "6L to 9 L per year," a figure Zoho gives for Schools graduates.
Two cautions. The programme does not give a degree: "we do not provide degrees." And Zoho's own pages disagree on the stipend. The Schools homepage says Rs. 10,000 a month in year one, rising to Rs. 15,000 in year two, while the FAQ says it goes up to Rs. 20,000 in the second year based on performance. Both agree the starting figure is Rs 10,000 a month, with no fees and no bond.
Route 3: Zoho School for Graduate Studies
This programme exists for graduates who missed Zoho first time round. Zoho's page says it is "a five -month immersive boot camp" run in January and July cohorts. Eligibility, in Zoho's words, is "Fresh graduates from any stream, aged between 20 and 24 years," and applicants must be free of ongoing college commitments. For the Development stream, Zoho expects a basic grasp of at least one programming language, "preferably C, C++, or Java."
The selection steps on the page are: written tests, then "a series of technical interviews, followed by an HR round and background verification before final selection." The first-level test is "approximately two hours long," and the test pattern includes "multiple-choice questions, fill-in-the-blanks, coding problems, and debugging exercises." After the boot camp, selected candidates "will be invited to appear for a special direct interview at Zoho Corp."
The most important sentence on that page is this: "ZSGS does not offer a monthly stipend, and completion of the program does not guarantee employment." Its FAQ also contains an older line about a Rs 10,000 stipend, which contradicts it, so treat the no-stipend statement as the current one only after confirming with Zoho. Anyone older than 24 is told to apply directly to Zoho openings.
Where candidates get stuck
- Old dates on live pages. The Zoho Schools admission page, checked on 31 October 2026, still shows an application deadline of 20 January 2022 and a test on 23 January 2022. The Examless page still says admissions will open again in October 2024. Zoho's FAQ says the current date is always on the Schools homepage, and "if you don't find a date there, it means we have NOT finalised the date yet."
- The Graduate Studies dates. The page checked on 31 October 2026 lists an examination date of 20 December 2025 and a last date to apply of 18 December 2025, alongside closed-application notices. No later date was visible.
- Wrong door. Zoho says applicants eligible for Schools are not eligible for ZSGS, and the reverse.
- Retry timing. Zoho's FAQ says a candidate who is not selected must wait 6 months before applying again.
- Assuming the boot camp is a job. It is training with a direct interview at the end, not an offer.
Applying safely
Zoho's careers page links to its portal at careers.zohocorp.com. Zoho's company timeline links to zohoschools.com for the Schools programme. Type or open those from zoho.com rather than from a forwarded message. Never share an OTP or password with anyone claiming to be a recruiter, and be wary of any message that asks for money, since Zoho's pages describe Schools and the boot camp as charging no fees. If something looks off, use the contact addresses printed on the official Zoho Schools site, such as the admissions address in its FAQ.
WHAT PAPERSADDA THINKS
Zoho is unusual among large employers because the clearest official information sits in the Schools material, not the main careers page. If you are a graduate, that means the useful question is not "what are Zoho's rounds" but "which door am I standing at." Under 20 without a degree, Schools is a genuine, documented route. Between 20 and 24 with a degree, the boot camp is a second chance, not a guaranteed job. Anyone else applies through the portal and prepares for the programming-heavy assessments that candidates describe. Do not budget your plans around a cutoff number you read on a coaching site. Zoho's own pages deliberately avoid one.

Frequently Asked Questions
How does Zoho hire freshers in 2026?
Zoho's careers page says the company hires people without leaning on credentials alone, and it points candidates to a Candidate Portal for new roles. Zoho also runs two training routes: Zoho Schools for 17-20 year olds without a degree, and the Zoho School for Graduate Studies boot camp for graduates aged 20-24. The step-by-step rounds for direct graduate hiring are not published on the pages checked on 31 October 2026.
What is the age limit for Zoho Schools?
Zoho Schools' FAQ says High School or Diploma students aged 17-20 can apply, and the candidate must not have completed any degree program. Graduates are pointed to the Zoho School for Graduate Studies instead.
Does Zoho ask for a minimum percentage or CGPA?
For Zoho Schools, Zoho's FAQ says it does not consider marks. For direct graduate hiring, the Zoho pages checked on 31 October 2026 publish no percentage or CGPA rule. Any figure you see elsewhere is candidate-reported, so check the posting you apply to.
Is a job guaranteed after the Zoho School for Graduate Studies boot camp?
No. The programme page says completion does not guarantee employment. Successful trainees may be invited to a special direct interview with Zoho.
Do Zoho Schools students sign a bond or pay fees?
Zoho's FAQ says it charges no fees, pays a stipend starting at Rs 10,000 a month, and signs no bonds with students.
How long does Zoho Schools take before a student becomes an employee?
Zoho describes one year of classroom training followed by one year of internship at Zoho. Its FAQ says classes usually begin in April and that students are confirmed as employees two years later.
What do I do if a Zoho date on a page looks old?
Zoho's FAQ says the next exam date will always appear on the Zoho Schools homepage and that if no date is shown, it has not been finalised. Some admission pages still show dates from past years, so do not treat them as current.
