Genpact Salary Hike 2026: What the Company Discloses
Genpact names no 2026 hike percentage. What its annual report and April-June 2026 filing say about pay, and what AmbitionBox reviewers report.

What Genpact Itself Says About Pay Increases
Genpact's shares trade on the New York Stock Exchange, and its annual report to shareholders, filed with the US Securities and Exchange Commission, is direct about how it frames pay increases. The filing states that the company strives "to engage and competitively compensate our high-performing talent by providing performance-based promotions and merit-based compensation increases," and that in 2025 it "promoted more than 11,000" of its employees. The same document says Genpact "closely monitor[s] employee retention levels and regularly evaluate[s]" its "pay-for-performance approach in an effort to retain" its "top talent."
The filing does not name a percentage anywhere. It does, separately, warn its own investors, under a risk-factors heading titled "Wage increases in the countries where we operate may reduce our profit margin," that "in recent years we have had to increase our wage levels for certain roles significantly in a short period of time." Genpact says it tries to manage this by "seeking to add capacity in locations where we consider wage levels of skilled personnel to be satisfactory" and by "seeking to control entry-level wages." Read together, this is Genpact telling its own shareholders that wage increases are a recurring cost of running the business, without putting a number on what any individual employee receives.
What the April to June 2026 Filing Adds
Genpact's quarterly report for the three months to 30 June 2026, filed with the SEC on 7 August 2026, is the most recent Genpact filing on the subject that PapersAdda found as of 28 September 2026. It says the cost of revenue rose partly because of "wage inflation" in that quarter compared with a year earlier, so pay costs per person went up somewhere in the company. It also says gross margin improved, "primarily driven by lower headcount and a foreign exchange benefit", and that average headcount fell 2.6% to about 143,100 in the quarter, from about 146,900 a year earlier. The same filing describes Genpact as having over 141,000 employees. What it does not say is how large the increases were, which countries or roles got them, or when an India appraisal cycle closes.
Genpact's Scale, in Its Own Numbers
Whatever your hike turns out to be, it is decided inside a very large operation. Genpact's annual report states that as of 31 December 2025 the company had over 146,500 employees working in more than 35 countries; the June 2026 quarterly filing puts the figure at over 141,000. That scale matters for how you read any single AmbitionBox review below: a company this size will always contain very different individual experiences within the same appraisal cycle, and no single reviewer describes the whole company.
What Employees Report About the Actual Hike Number
Genpact does not publish its hike percentage, so the closest thing to a number comes from AmbitionBox reviewers, checked 28 September 2026. AmbitionBox's Genpact overview page states that career growth at Genpact is rated as poor, with a promotions and appraisal rating of 2.9, and that 33% of employees rated Genpact 3 or below on promotions and appraisal, based on more than 46,000 employee reviews. Individual accounts vary sharply:
| Who reported it | What they described |
|---|---|
| An Associate Vice President in Hyderabad, review updated 6 September 2026 | Hikes for individuals as "very tricky", hovering "around 4-5% even for top performer" |
| A Senior Associate in Kolkata, review updated 14 September 2026 | "Very Low salary" and "No clear promotion scenario" |
| A Management Trainee in Gurugram, review updated 11 September 2026 | Salary "very low as per the market standards" |
| A reviewer on AmbitionBox's Genpact reviews page | People who joined within a year getting double-digit hikes while loyal, longer-serving staff got bad ones |
| Another reviewer on the same page | "I worked for almost 4 years but there was hardly any increment" |
These are individual, employee-reported accounts from AmbitionBox, not an official Genpact disclosure. Genpact's own filings confirm merit-based increases as policy and wage inflation as a cost, but name no percentage, so treat every number in this table as one person's experience, not a company-wide figure, and confirm your own number only in your appraisal letter.
The pattern across these accounts, a senior reviewer describing single-digit hikes, one reviewer describing tenure working against loyal staff, and others describing low pay or years with little movement, points the same direction as the AmbitionBox rating itself: hike outcomes at Genpact are reported as inconsistent and rating- or tenure-dependent, not a flat, predictable percentage.
Genpact Pay Bands by Role, Employee-Reported
On AmbitionBox's Genpact salaries page, process roles dominate the reports: 38.3k salaries for Process Developer and 28.3k for Process Associate, against 6.5k for Business Analyst. The page, based on 2.4 lakh salaries, updated 25 September 2026 and checked 28 September 2026, lists these designation-level ranges:
| Designation | Experience band | Employee-reported annual range |
|---|---|---|
| Process Associate | 0 to 4 years | Rs 3 L to Rs 3.4 L |
| Senior Process Associate | 1 to 7 years | Rs 3.7 L to Rs 4 L |
| Process Developer | 1 to 8 years | Rs 4.5 L to Rs 5 L |
| Business Analyst | 0 to 9 years | Rs 8.2 L to Rs 9 L |
Employee-reported ranges from AmbitionBox, checked 28 September 2026, not an official Genpact pay scale. Your own offer letter and appraisal letter are the only numbers that bind Genpact.
What Drives Your Genpact Hike
Your rating still decides most of the outcome. Genpact's annual report frames its increase policy around performance-based promotions and merit-based compensation increases, and reviewers describe the same pattern in practice, with more frustration about how it plays out day to day.
Tenure does not appear to help the way you would expect. One reviewer specifically described newer joiners receiving double-digit hikes while longer-serving staff received weaker ones, the opposite of a loyalty reward. Treat this as one person's account, not confirmed policy, but it is worth asking your own manager about directly if you have been at Genpact for several years without a strong hike.
Your track matters. Process Associate and Process Developer roles sit on a very different pay base than Business Analyst roles, per AmbitionBox's designation breakdown above, so an identical percentage hike means a very different rupee amount depending on where you sit.
Promotions do happen at scale. Genpact's annual report states it promoted more than 11,000 employees in 2025, so a band change inside your cycle is a real possibility, not just an AmbitionBox rumour, even though the report does not say what share of the workforce that represents.
How to Read Your Genpact Appraisal Letter
| Component | What to check |
|---|---|
| Fixed-pay increment | The percentage raise on your base pay, your real hike |
| Variable pay | A separate line from the fixed-pay increment |
| Effective date | When the revised pay actually starts |
| Revised CTC | The new total, not the same as your monthly in-hand |
1. Do not read the CTC headline as your hike. The fixed-pay increment is the only line that reflects a lasting raise to your base; check separately how your letter links any variable pay to your rating.
2. Ask directly if your tenure seems to be working against you. Given at least one detailed reviewer account describing this exact pattern, it is a reasonable, specific question to put to your manager rather than an accusation to make on a forum.
3. Compare your number to your own track, not a friend's. A Business Analyst and a Process Associate are not on the same base pay, per AmbitionBox's own data, so the same percentage hike is not the same experience.
WHAT PAPERSADDA THINKS
What stands out, reading Genpact's filings next to its AmbitionBox reviews, is how openly the company tells investors that wages are a rising cost, most recently as "wage inflation" in its April to June 2026 quarter, while giving employees no equivalent public number to plan around. The filings confirm that pay went up somewhere; they do not tell you whether it went up for you, and the reviews range from about 4-5% for a senior reviewer to hardly any increment for others. Our advice: do not assume tenure alone buys you a better number, since at least one detailed account here describes the opposite, and use your own role's designation band, not a colleague's, when you sanity-check whatever your appraisal letter says.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Genpact salary hike for 2026?
Genpact has not published an official 2026 hike percentage. Its annual report to shareholders describes merit-based compensation increases as policy but names no figure, and its filing for the April to June 2026 quarter lists wage inflation among the reasons its cost of revenue rose, again without a number. On AmbitionBox, one Associate Vice President's review updated on 6 September 2026 puts individual hikes at around 4-5% even for top performers. Confirm your own number in your appraisal letter.
Does Genpact's own filing say anything about wage increases?
Yes. Genpact's annual report to shareholders, filed with the US Securities and Exchange Commission, says under its risk factors that in recent years it has had to increase wage levels for certain roles significantly in a short period of time, and that wage increases can reduce its profit margin. Its quarterly filing for April to June 2026 names wage inflation as one driver of higher cost of revenue. Neither gives a percentage for any role or cycle.
How is Genpact's promotions and appraisal experience rated by employees?
AmbitionBox rates Genpact's promotions and appraisal experience at 2.9 out of 5, with 33% of reviewers rating it 3 or below, based on more than 46,000 employee reviews checked 28 September 2026. This is an employee-reported perception score, not an official company metric.
Do longer-serving Genpact employees get better hikes than new joiners?
Not necessarily, per at least one detailed AmbitionBox review describing the opposite: people who joined within a year reportedly getting double-digit hikes while loyal, longer-serving staff got bad ones. This is one employee's account, not confirmed Genpact policy, but it is worth raising directly with your manager if it matches your own experience.
How many people does Genpact employ, and is it still promoting people?
Genpact's annual report states it had over 146,500 employees in more than 35 countries as of 31 December 2025 and promoted more than 11,000 employees in 2025. Its filing for the April to June 2026 quarter says it has over 141,000 employees, with average headcount down 2.6% from a year earlier. None of these figures is a hike percentage.
Where is the binding Genpact hike figure?
Only your own appraisal letter binds Genpact. Every figure on this page is either an official Genpact statement about overall policy or scale, not your personal number, or an employee-reported account from AmbitionBox, not a promise of what you will receive.
