Accenture Salary Progression and Promotions: ASE to Manager
Accenture's ASE-to-Manager pay ladder from Levels.fyi and AmbitionBox, the real 2025 promotion-cycle delay, and what actually moves you up a level.
on this page§ 09

Search "Accenture ASE salary" and you will find at least three different numbers, and "Accenture level 12 to level 10" turns up guesses rather than an answer, because Accenture does not publish a level chart or a promotion calendar that PapersAdda could find. This guide separates what is sourced (an employee-reported pay ladder, one confirmed numbered level and one documented promotion-cycle delay) from what is repeated across placement blogs.
The ASE to Manager Ladder, As Employee Trackers Report It
Levels.fyi, where professionals self-report pay and the site says each data point is reviewed before publication, names six levels for the Software Engineer track at Accenture in India: Associate Software Engineer (ASE), Software Engineer Analyst (SE), Senior Software Engineer (SSE), Team Leader (TL), Associate Manager (AM) and Manager (M). Its level list also names Senior Manager and Senior Executive, without a separate India figure.
| Level | Full title | Experience people at this level typically report | Reported total pay, including bonus and stock (Levels.fyi, India) |
|---|---|---|---|
| ASE | Associate Software Engineer (entry) | 1 to 2 years | about 6.32 LPA |
| SE | Software Engineer Analyst | 2 to 3 years | about 10.1 LPA |
| SSE | Senior Software Engineer | Not stated | about 13.30 LPA |
| TL | Team Leader | Not stated | about 18.35 LPA |
| AM | Associate Manager | Not stated (the 2025 Bloomberg reporting calls this Level 8) | No separate figure on the pages PapersAdda could load |
| M | Manager | Not stated | about 46.4 LPA, which is also the single highest package the site records for the whole track, so treat it as a thin figure |
The ASE figure is not a fresher offer. People tagged ASE on Levels.fyi typically report 1 to 2 years of experience, so the figure describes ASEs some way into the job, and it counts bonus and stock. For a day-one offer, use the 3.5 to 4.5 LPA that candidates report. Two more cautions: the experience column is what people at each level report, not a promotion clock, and Levels.fyi labels these figures both "average" and "median" on the same page. Total pay bundles base, bonus and stock, so it sits closer to CTC than to in-hand.
Why the ASE Number Looks Different Everywhere You Look
This is the most confusing part of researching Accenture pay, and it deserves a straight answer instead of one number with the rest hidden.
| Source | What it reports for ASE | What it measures |
|---|---|---|
| Candidate-reported offers, the figure PapersAdda's Accenture pages use | 3.5 to 4.5 LPA | Fresher offers at joining; Accenture publishes no figure |
| AmbitionBox (12k salaries, updated 24 September 2026) | 4.4 to 4.9 LPA typical range | Self-reported pay from people with 0 to 2 years of experience |
| Levels.fyi (last updated 27 September 2026) | about 6.32 LPA total pay | Base, bonus and stock, from people who typically report 1 to 2 years in the title |
These measure different things, and one of them sits awkwardly with the offer range. Levels.fyi's figure is the highest mainly because it counts bonus and stock and comes from people 1 to 2 years into the title. AmbitionBox's split by experience is the interesting part: its 0 to 1 year slice (3.4k salaries) reads 4.4 to 4.8 LPA and its 1 to 3 year slice (8.6k salaries) reads 4.5 to 4.9 LPA. The 0 to 1 year slice sits at the top of, and a little above, the range candidates report for offers. PapersAdda has not found a source that explains the difference, so treat 3.5 to 4.5 LPA as the common offer range rather than a ceiling, and let your own offer letter settle it.
The Higher-Paid Fresher Track With No Agreed Number
Placement sources describe a second, higher-paid fresher track above standard ASE, which candidates say is decided by coding-round performance. Its name is not stable (Advanced ASE, 11A grade and Advanced Application Engineering all appear), and the figures quoted for it come from placement-content sites that echo one another rather than from independent employee trackers, so this page does not print one. If a recruiter tells you that you are being considered for this track, the only number worth trusting is the one on your own offer letter.
How Accenture's Promotion Cycle Has Actually Run
Accenture's recent history shows its review cycle can move. Good Returns reported on 21 May 2025, citing Bloomberg, that Accenture was set to promote nearly 50,000 employees worldwide the following month, including about 15,000 in India, after it "postponed its usual December promotion cycle, citing sluggish demand for consulting services at the time." It also reported salary increases of 3% to 13% for employees at Associate Manager (Level 8) and above, described as the first round of pay hikes in over two years.
The same report quoted an internal message from Ajay Vij, Senior Country Managing Director for Accenture in India: more than 43,000 Indian employees were expected to be promoted during FY25. It added that "bonus decisions and performance-based equity awards will be finalised in December", separately from the June promotions and pay rises.
Three practical points follow. December is the cycle Accenture usually targets, not a guarantee. A promotion or level-linked raise is real when it arrives by letter, not by rumour, since a company-wide slip of about six months happened in 2025. And your bonus and your base hike need not land on the same date.
What the 2025 Cycle Shows About What Speeds Things Up
Beyond the standard review, the same reporting names one factor. The internal memo said "select employees working in high-growth segments of the business will receive salary increases," and Ajay Vij said employees who were not part of the previous December cycle, as well as those "working in strategic growth areas," would now receive base salary increases. That ties the 2025 raises to where you sat in the business, not only to your rating. PapersAdda found no second Accenture-specific lever, such as a named certification or a utilisation threshold; if you see one claimed for Accenture, treat it as unverified until your manager or HR confirms it.
If You're at Level X: Your Next Move
At ASE: candidates report offers of 3.5 to 4.5 LPA, and Levels.fyi shows ASEs who are typically 1 to 2 years in at higher total pay, so pay can rise within the title before a move to SE. A raise without a new designation is not a sign you were skipped.
At SE: people tagged SE on Levels.fyi typically report 2 to 3 years of experience and about 10.1 LPA in total pay. The next level, SSE, shows about 13.30 LPA on the same site, roughly 30% more.
At SSE or TL: Levels.fyi gives no typical-experience figure for these levels on the pages PapersAdda could load, so there is no reliable "typical years" number to quote; use your own review history and your manager's stated timeline.
At AM (Level 8) and above: this is the group the 2025 reporting named for the 3% to 13% base-pay rises. If your business area is described internally as a growth or strategic area, the 2025 cycle suggests that label mattered for pay.
WHAT PAPERSADDA THINKS
The honest picture is less tidy than most placement content makes it look. Accenture's ASE numbers differ by source because the sources measure different things: a day-one offer, a self-reported band from people up to two years in, and a total that includes bonus and stock. The sensible move is to know which number answers your question rather than pick the most flattering one. The promotion-cycle story matters more than most fresher guides admit: a company that pushed its whole annual cycle back about six months in 2025 is not one where "December" is a promise. Check your own letter for the number, and your manager or HR for the date, rather than a forwarded screenshot for either.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Accenture ASE to SE promotion timeline?
Accenture does not publish one. On Levels.fyi, people tagged ASE in India typically report 1 to 2 years of experience and people tagged SE (Software Engineer Analyst) 2 to 3 years. That is the experience of people reporting at each level, not an Accenture rule, so treat it as a rough guide rather than a date.
Why does Accenture's ASE salary look different on every site?
Because each site measures something different. Candidates report fresher offers of 3.5 to 4.5 LPA. AmbitionBox (12k salaries, updated 24 September 2026) shows a typical 4.4 to 4.9 LPA for people with 0 to 2 years of experience. Levels.fyi shows about 6.32 LPA in total pay, including bonus and stock, from people who typically report 1 to 2 years in the title. Your offer letter is the figure that applies to you.
Does Accenture promote employees every year on a fixed date?
No fixed date is guaranteed. Accenture's usual promotion cycle is in December, but Good Returns, citing Bloomberg, reported in May 2025 that the cycle had been postponed and that about 50,000 promotions worldwide, about 15,000 of them in India, were planned for June 2025. Treat December as the usual target and 2025 as proof it can slip.
What does Accenture's higher-paid fresher track pay?
No reliable figure can be quoted. Placement sources describe a track above standard ASE, variously called Advanced ASE, 11A grade or Advanced Application Engineering, which candidates say is decided by coding-round performance, but the figures quoted for it come from sites that echo one another rather than from independent trackers. Confirm your band on your own offer letter.
What is Accenture's numbered level system, like Level 8 or Level 12?
Accenture does use numbered levels, but PapersAdda could confirm only one against a reputable report: Level 8, which Bloomberg's May 2025 reporting, as carried by Good Returns, ties to Associate Manager. Placement content circulates a fuller number-to-title chart for the software-engineering ladder, but PapersAdda could not confirm it against an Accenture-published chart or a second independent source, so treat any mapping beyond Level 8 as unverified.
Does a good rating alone get you a raise or promotion faster at Accenture?
Not on the 2025 evidence. Good Returns, citing Bloomberg, reported that Accenture's internal memo said select employees in high-growth segments would receive salary increases, and that its India head said those in strategic growth areas would now receive base pay rises. Where you sat in the business mattered alongside your review.
Are Accenture's bonus and salary hike paid on the same date?
Not necessarily. In the 2025 cycle, promotions and pay rises (3% to 13% for Associate Manager and above) were set for June 2025, while bonus decisions and performance-based equity awards were to be finalised in December, per Good Returns citing Bloomberg. A promotion or hike letter does not confirm your bonus timing.
