Accenture Fresher Salary In-Hand 2026: ASE Monthly Pay

Accenture ASE fresher salary in-hand 2026 monthly deduction breakdown for Karnataka Maharashtra and Telangana

This page starts at the CTC headline and keeps going, showing every deduction with the government source behind it, so you can redo the math on your own offer letter instead of trusting a number on a forum post.

What Accenture Actually Pays ASE Freshers in 2026

The standard Associate Software Engineer offer is candidate-reported at Rs 3.5-4.5 lakh a year. It is not an Accenture-published figure, and it is the band PapersAdda uses across its Accenture pages. Employee-reported salary sites can read a little higher: AmbitionBox's auto-generated answer on fresher pay at Accenture, checked on 28 September 2026, put a fresher ASE's range at the top end of this band and a little beyond it. Treat both as planning numbers. This guide works the deduction math across the full Rs 3.5-4.5 lakh band, and your offer letter is the only figure that binds.

Candidates also report a separate, higher-paid fresher track, called Advanced ASE or Advanced Application Engineering depending on the source, that is decided by the coding round rather than the communication round. Its reported pay varies too widely across sources to quote a number here. If your offer letter names it, the figure on your offer is the one to use.

Whichever track you land in, the CTC number is not what reaches your bank account. The rest of this guide works out what does.

The Three Things That Turn CTC Into In-Hand

Every rupee that disappears between your CTC and your bank credit falls into one of three buckets:

  1. Employee provident fund (PF). 12% of your PF wages (basic pay plus dearness allowance), deducted from your salary and paid into your own EPF account. Since 17 September 2026 the wage ceiling for mandatory PF is Rs 25,000 a month; it was Rs 15,000 before that. This is not lost money, it is forced savings you can use later, but it does reduce your monthly credit today.
  2. Professional tax. A small state-government deduction. It does not exist in every state, and where it does, the amount depends on your monthly salary slab and, in Maharashtra's case, whether you are a man or a woman.
  3. Income tax (TDS). Deducted monthly based on your annual tax. At ASE-level pay, as the next section shows, this bucket is empty.

Because Accenture's CTC breakup is not public, this guide assumes basic pay is 50% of CTC. That is an assumption, not an Accenture figure, but it matches the one-half line in India's Code on Social Security, 2020, in force since 21 November 2025, which counts any excluded allowances above one-half of total pay back into "wages". The model also treats your CTC as fixed pay plus the employer's PF share only; the section on what lands monthly explains what changes if your CTC also counts gratuity. Treat every number below as illustrative math on stated assumptions, not a payslip.

Step by Step: Rs 3.5 Lakh CTC in Karnataka

Take the lower end of the ASE band and walk it through, using Karnataka as the posting state.

StepAmount
Annual CTCRs 3,50,000
Assumed basic pay (50% of CTC), monthlyRs 14,583
Employer PF (12% of basic), monthly, a CTC cost, not paid to youRs 1,750
Monthly gross fixed pay (CTC minus employer PF, divided by 12)Rs 27,417
Less: employee PF (12% of basic)- Rs 1,750
Less: Karnataka professional tax (Rs 300 in February)- Rs 200
Less: income tax- Rs 0
Monthly in-handabout Rs 25,467 (Rs 25,367 in February)

Why the income tax line is zero: your salary for the year here is about Rs 3,29,000, the monthly fixed pay times 12, since the employer's PF share is not paid to you. The new regime allows a standard deduction of Rs 75,000, which leaves about Rs 2,54,000 of taxable income. Section 202 of the Income-tax Act, 2025 charges nil on the first Rs 4,00,000, so there is nothing to pay even before the section 156 rebate, which covers income up to Rs 12 lakh. Professional tax is not deductible under the new regime, so it does not lower this figure. The top of the band works the same way: at Rs 4.5 lakh CTC, salary is about Rs 4,23,000 and taxable income about Rs 3,48,000, still inside the nil slab.

Does Your State Change the Math? Karnataka, Maharashtra and Telangana

Professional tax is the one deduction that varies by where you are posted. Here is the same Rs 3.5 lakh and Rs 4.5 lakh CTC worked through three states, using each state's own official rate schedule.

CTCMonthly gross fixedEmployee PFKarnataka PTMaharashtra PTTelangana PT
Rs 3.5 lakhRs 27,417Rs 1,750Rs 200 a month, Rs 300 in Feb (Rs 2,500 a year)Rs 200 a month, Rs 300 in Feb (Rs 2,500 a year)Rs 200 every month (Rs 2,400 a year)
Rs 4.5 lakhRs 35,250Rs 2,250Rs 200 a month, Rs 300 in Feb (Rs 2,500 a year)Rs 200 a month, Rs 300 in Feb (Rs 2,500 a year)Rs 200 every month (Rs 2,400 a year)

Resulting in-hand (income tax zero throughout):

CTCKarnatakaMaharashtraTelangana
Rs 3.5 lakhRs 25,467 (Feb: Rs 25,367)Rs 25,467 (Feb: Rs 25,367)Rs 25,467 every month
Rs 4.5 lakhRs 32,800 (Feb: Rs 32,700)Rs 32,800 (Feb: Rs 32,700)Rs 32,800 every month

Two things stand out. First, the three states land on the same number in eleven months of the year; the only gap is February, when Karnataka and Maharashtra take Rs 300 instead of Rs 200, a difference of Rs 100 a year. Karnataka moved to this pattern from 1 April 2025 (state notification DPAL 08 SHASANA 2025, dated 15 April 2025), so a calculator that still shows Rs 2,400 a year for Karnataka is using the old rate. Second, Maharashtra's schedule sets a lower threshold for men (above Rs 10,000 a month) than for women (above Rs 25,000 a month), but ASE monthly pay clears both, so the Rs 2,500-a-year charge is the same for everyone at this level. The gender split only matters for monthly salaries between Rs 7,500 and Rs 25,000.

The PF Ceiling No Longer Touches ASE Pay

Until 16 September 2026 the statutory PF wage ceiling was Rs 15,000 a month, and an employer could restrict contributions to 12% of that, which is Rs 1,800. From 17 September 2026 the ceiling is Rs 25,000 a month (Gazette notification S.O. 5109(E)), and EPFO's own FAQ on the change says that where wages are lower than Rs 25,000, contributions are worked out on the actual wages. This guide's assumed ASE basic runs from Rs 14,583 at Rs 3.5 lakh CTC to Rs 18,750 at Rs 4.5 lakh, both under Rs 25,000, so employee PF is the full 12% either way.

Rule in forceEmployee PF on Rs 18,750 basic (Rs 4.5 lakh CTC)
Up to 16 September 2026, contribution restricted to the Rs 15,000 ceilingRs 1,800 a month
From 17 September 2026, ceiling Rs 25,000Rs 2,250 a month

If an older calculator, or a payslip from before the change, shows Rs 1,800 at this pay, that is the old ceiling at work. The extra Rs 450 a month is not lost: EPFO's FAQ points out that it goes into your own PF account and that the employer matches it.

What Lands Monthly, What Lands Later

Accenture's component-wise CTC breakup is not public, so the points below describe how the pieces behave, not an Accenture-specific disclosure. Check your own offer letter for the exact split.

  • Paid monthly: basic pay and fixed allowances, which is what the "monthly gross fixed pay" figure in the tables above represents.
  • A CTC cost that goes to your PF account, not your bank: the employer's PF share.
  • Gratuity, if your CTC includes it: it is paid only when you leave after five years of continuous service (the five-year condition does not apply on death, disablement or the end of a fixed-term contract), at 15 days' wages for each completed year, where a month's wages are divided by 26. On this guide's basic-pay assumption that works out to about Rs 700 a month at Rs 3.5 lakh CTC and about Rs 900 a month at Rs 4.5 lakh. If your CTC includes a gratuity line, your monthly credit will be lower than the tables above by about that much.
  • Variable pay, if your offer has it: it is paid on whatever cycle the offer letter states. Do not divide it by twelve and add it to your expected monthly credit.

What to Check on Your Accenture Offer Letter

Before you treat any number on this page as your number, verify these five things in writing:

  1. Exact designation. Only the standard ASE band is worked through here. If your letter names a higher-paid track or another designation, redo the math with your own CTC.
  2. Posting city and state, since that decides which professional tax schedule applies to you.
  3. The basic pay your PF is computed on. Below Rs 25,000 a month it should be 12% of the full amount from 17 September 2026.
  4. What sits inside the CTC, especially gratuity and any variable component, since neither shows up in your monthly credit.
  5. Tax regime. The new regime applies unless you opt out, and a salaried person can choose the old regime while filing the return for the year. At ASE-level income the new regime already makes tax zero, so opting out cannot lower it.

WHAT PAPERSADDA THINKS

The most useful thing about this exercise is not the final in-hand number, it is that income tax is a non-issue at Accenture's ASE pay under the FY 2026-27 rules: taxable income stays inside the nil slab, so a monthly TDS line at this CTC does not match the current rules. The new Rs 25,000 PF ceiling also retires the old question of whether your employer caps PF, at least at ASE pay. What still moves your monthly credit is written on your own offer letter: the basic-pay share, whether gratuity sits inside the CTC, and any variable component. Ask about those three before your first payslip, not after.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Accenture ASE in-hand salary per month in 2026?

On the candidate-reported ASE band of Rs 3.5-4.5 lakh CTC, monthly in-hand works out to about Rs 25,467 at Rs 3.5 lakh and about Rs 32,800 at Rs 4.5 lakh, after 12% employee PF and Rs 200 professional tax, with zero income tax under the FY 2026-27 new regime. In Karnataka and Maharashtra, February is Rs 100 lower because professional tax that month is Rs 300. These figures assume basic pay is half of CTC and no gratuity inside the CTC.

Does an Accenture fresher pay any income tax in 2026?

No, under the default new regime. A Rs 3.5-4.5 lakh CTC means salary of about Rs 3,29,000 to Rs 4,23,000 a year once the employer's PF share is set aside. After the Rs 75,000 standard deduction, taxable income is about Rs 2,54,000 to Rs 3,48,000, inside the nil slab of up to Rs 4,00,000 in the Income-tax Act, 2025. The rebate for income up to Rs 12 lakh is not even needed.

Does the PF ceiling change an Accenture fresher's PF deduction?

Not any more. The statutory PF wage ceiling rose from Rs 15,000 to Rs 25,000 a month on 17 September 2026, and EPFO says contributions below the ceiling are worked out on actual wages. At this guide's assumed ASE basic of Rs 14,583 to Rs 18,750 a month, PF is the full 12%: Rs 1,750 to Rs 2,250 a month. A deduction of Rs 1,800 at Rs 4.5 lakh CTC reflects the old ceiling.

How much professional tax does an Accenture fresher pay?

At ASE monthly pay, Karnataka and Maharashtra both charge Rs 2,500 a year, collected as Rs 200 a month and Rs 300 in February. Telangana charges Rs 200 every month, Rs 2,400 a year. Maharashtra's lower threshold for men than for women does not matter at this pay, because an ASE salary clears both.

What is Advanced ASE and does it pay more than standard ASE?

Candidates report a separate, higher-paid fresher track, called Advanced ASE or Advanced Application Engineering depending on the source, decided by the coding round rather than the communication round. Its reported pay varies too widely across sources for this guide to quote a band. If your offer names this track, use the figure on your offer letter.

Which parts of an Accenture CTC are paid every month?

Basic pay and fixed allowances are paid monthly. The employer's PF share is a CTC cost that goes into your PF account, not your bank account. If the offer counts gratuity inside the CTC, that part is paid only when you leave after five years of continuous service. Variable pay follows whatever cycle the offer letter states. Accenture's component-wise breakup is not public, so read your own letter.

What should I check on my Accenture offer letter before joining?

Confirm the exact designation (standard ASE or a higher-paid track), your posting state, the basic pay your PF is computed on, whether gratuity or variable pay sits inside the CTC, and the tax regime you will use, since those decide your monthly credit.
