The headline count is misleading, here is the cut you need

A 36,900 open-roles number at Accenture does not mean 36,900 fresher seats. Across the IT-services tier-1, the open-roles ratio between fresher-specific and experienced-backfill sits at roughly 1:8 in May 2026. The right way to read this table is to anchor on three signals together: open roles, CTC band, and OA difficulty. A 7 OA at 30 LPA is a different fight than a 5 OA at 4 LPA, even when both companies are publicly hiring.

The Indian fresher pool is currently strongest at the tier-1 IT services band (TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant, Capgemini, HCL, Tech Mahindra, LTIMindtree) where intake commitments persist quarter over quarter. The product band (Amazon, Microsoft, Google, Adobe) hires smaller cohorts but at multiples of the IT-services CTC. The investment-banking and fintech bands (Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan, Razorpay, PhonePe) sit between, with selective intake and a higher OA bar. Filter by tier, not by company-name alphabet.
