PapersAdda is an independent placement and career information site, not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to Wipro Limited or The Dot. This guide covers what the platform is, how PapersAdda checked the address, what the sign-in looks like from outside, who gets access, and how to avoid fake copies, built only from what Wipro and its platform vendor publish and from checks anyone can repeat.
What The Dot Actually Is
The Employees chapter of Wipro's FY23 annual report says the Employee Communications team created "a centralized employee experience and communications platform, giving employees easy access to information," and names it: "This platform, The Dot, takes a human-centric approach, making it easier for employees to navigate and use."
The Dot is built on a commercial employee experience platform from a company called Unily. Unily's published case study says Wipro "uses Unily's unified employee experience platform to power" The Dot, which it says "connects 230,000+ employees across 65 countries." The case study quotes Ateet Jayaswal, named there as Vice President and Chief Employee Experience Officer at Wipro: "a digital ecosystem was needed to engage with associates, enable them to know each other, collaborate and participate in strategic initiatives of Wipro." It also quotes Varsha Anand, named as Global Head, Employee Communications and Employer Branding: "we needed one source of truth for associates."
The Official Address, and What You See When You Open It
PapersAdda opened thedot.wipro.com from outside Wipro's network on 28 September 2026 and checked every address the browser was sent through:
| Step | Address | Whose it is |
|---|---|---|
| 1. You open The Dot | thedot.wipro.com | Security certificate issued to Wipro Limited, covering wipro.com and its subdomains |
| 2. Access check | p.zpa-auth.net | Certificate issued to Zscaler, Inc.; this step passes you on |
| 3. Access check | samlsp.private.zscaler.com | Certificate issued to Zscaler, Inc.; this step hands you to the sign-in page |
| 4. Password page | login.microsoftonline.com | Microsoft's sign-in page (certificate issued to Microsoft Corporation). Microsoft's own records list the account it opens as the one for wipro.com, branded Wipro |
Two things follow. First, the address itself is genuinely Wipro's: a certificate naming Wipro Limited for a wipro.com address cannot be copied onto a lookalike domain. Second, the page where you type your password is Microsoft's, not a wipro.com page, so "only type your password on wipro.com" would be the wrong rule here. PapersAdda can only report what the chain looked like from outside Wipro; on a Wipro-managed device it may look different.
Staying Safe: How to Use The Dot Without Getting Phished
- Start from the address you know. Type thedot.wipro.com yourself or use a bookmark, not a link from an SMS, email, chat message or search ad.
- Check the password page. In the chain PapersAdda saw, the password is typed on login.microsoftonline.com, Microsoft's sign-in page. If a page on any other address, however "Wipro"-looking, asks for your Wipro password or one-time code, close it.
- Watch for lookalike domains. thedotwipro.com (one word, with no dot before "wipro") is not a wipro.com address; domain records show it was registered on 5 June 2023 through a different registrar (Above.com) from the one wipro.com uses (Amazon Registrar). Any address that adds, drops or rearranges words around "wipro" is not Wipro's.
- Never share your password, one-time code or sign-in approval, and never approve a sign-in prompt on your phone that you did not start yourself, whoever calls or messages asking for it.
- Ask a real person. Your manager or Wipro's internal IT helpdesk can confirm whether a message or link is genuine. PapersAdda found no public Wipro page naming an IT helpdesk address for The Dot, so use the contact from your onboarding communication.
Who Gets Access, and When
The Dot is built for people who already work at Wipro. Unily's case study says "new hires see a customized homepage and hub for the first 90 days," so new joiners get their own starting view once they are in. Neither Wipro nor Unily publishes the day a new joiner's access starts; your onboarding communication is the source for that.
What The Dot Is Not
Before you join, Wipro's public careers site, careers.wipro.com, is where jobs are listed and candidates apply, log in and sign up for job alerts. Its certificate also names Wipro Limited (checked 28 September 2026), and it is a separate system from The Dot, which is for people already on board. If you are still preparing for or going through Wipro's selection process, PapersAdda's Wipro off-campus drive guide and Wipro Elite NTH guide cover that side.
What The Dot Offers, According to Its Vendor's Case Study
Wipro's annual report describes The Dot in general terms. Unily's case study, which quotes named Wipro staff, gives specifics:
| Feature | What the case study says |
|---|---|
| People Directory | "One of the most used pages within The Dot," with filters to find colleagues in different countries, teams and roles |
| Policy Hub | Integrated with Wipro's AI assistant, WiNow, to give personalized answers on specific policies, and lets employees act on the answer, such as applying for leave |
| AI agent | Helps with timesheet filling, workspace booking, applying for leave, and HR or IT questions |
| Company news | A "Dot-first" strategy: C-suite messages, strategic initiatives and employee engagement events go through the platform |
| Apps | Over 100 applications, including employee task lists, reachable from The Dot |
This is the vendor's description of the platform in general, not a walkthrough of your own account, which PapersAdda cannot see.
Common Problems and the Safe Fix
| Problem | What is going on | Safe next step |
|---|---|---|
| The address sends you to a sign-in page instead of The Dot | Expected: from outside, PapersAdda was sent through Zscaler's checks to Microsoft's sign-in for wipro.com | Sign in there only if the address bar reads login.microsoftonline.com; if The Dot still does not open, follow your onboarding instructions or ask Wipro's IT helpdesk |
| You are a new joiner and cannot get in yet | The Dot is for people with an active Wipro account | Ask your onboarding contact when your account and system access start |
| You forgot your password or are locked out | A Wipro account issue that no outside site can fix | Use your manager or Wipro's internal IT helpdesk, never a "reset" link from an unsolicited message |
| A message or search result offers to "fix" your Wipro login | A common phishing pattern | Do not click; go to thedot.wipro.com yourself or ask your IT helpdesk |
WHAT PAPERSADDA THINKS
The Dot is easy to verify at the front door and easy to misjudge at the password step. The front door, thedot.wipro.com, carries a Wipro Limited certificate that no lookalike domain can copy. The password step, though, happens on Microsoft's sign-in page, so a rule like "only trust wipro.com" would make the real sign-in look fake. The better habit is two checks: start at thedot.wipro.com typed yourself, and type your password only when the address bar reads login.microsoftonline.com. For everything else, your onboarding instructions and Wipro's IT helpdesk beat any outside guide, this one included.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is Wipro's The Dot portal?
The Dot is Wipro's internal employee experience and communications platform. The Employees chapter of Wipro's FY23 annual report describes it as a centralized platform giving employees easy access to information, and Unily's case study says Wipro uses Unily's platform to power it. It is for people who already work at Wipro.
Is thedot.wipro.com the real Wipro address? How do you know?
Yes. As checked on 28 September 2026, the security certificate the address presents is issued to Wipro Limited for wipro.com and its subdomains, which a lookalike domain cannot copy. Never trust a similar-looking address that is not a wipro.com subdomain.
Where do I type my password for The Dot?
In the chain PapersAdda saw on 28 September 2026 from outside Wipro, thedot.wipro.com passed through two Zscaler addresses to Microsoft's sign-in page, login.microsoftonline.com, set up for wipro.com. That Microsoft page is where the password goes; a page on any other address asking for it is not part of that chain.
Can I access The Dot before I join Wipro, as a candidate?
The Dot is Wipro's employee platform and its sign-in asks for a Wipro account. Before joining, candidates use Wipro's public careers site, careers.wipro.com, whose certificate also names Wipro Limited, to find jobs and apply.
What can I actually do on The Dot?
According to Unily's case study, which quotes named Wipro staff, The Dot has a People Directory to find colleagues, a Policy Hub linked to Wipro's AI assistant WiNow, and an AI agent that helps with timesheets, workspace booking, applying for leave and HR or IT questions, alongside company news and over 100 applications.
I can't log in to The Dot, what should I do?
PapersAdda cannot see your error screen. Check that you started at thedot.wipro.com and are signing in on login.microsoftonline.com, then take the problem to your manager or Wipro's internal IT helpdesk, using the contact from your onboarding communication, never a third-party site claiming to fix Wipro logins.
Is PapersAdda affiliated with Wipro or The Dot?
No. PapersAdda is an independent placement and career information site, not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to Wipro Limited or The Dot. This guide is built from Wipro's own public reporting, its software vendor's published case study and checks anyone can repeat.
How do I know if a "Wipro" login page is fake?
Start from thedot.wipro.com typed yourself, and type your password only on login.microsoftonline.com, Microsoft's sign-in page, where that chain ended when PapersAdda checked. Lookalike domains such as thedotwipro.com are not Wipro's, however convincing the page looks.
